Local Government Code § 1.005","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this code:\n(1) \"General-law municipality\" means a municipality designated by Chapter 5 as a Type A general-law municipality, Type B general-law municipality, or Type C general-law municipality.\n(2) \"Home-rule municipality\" means a municipality designated by Chapter 5 as a home-rule municipality.\n(3) \"Municipality\" means a general-law municipality, home-rule municipality, or special-law municipality.\n(4) \"Special-law municipality\" means a municipality designated by Chapter 5 as a special-law municipality.\nActs 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 149, Sec. 1, eff.
