Local Government Code § 141.031","heading":"BASE SALARY.","body":"(a) In a municipality with a population of 10,000 to 40,000, each member of the fire or police department is entitled to receive a salary of at least $165 a month.\n(b) In a municipality with a population of 40,001 to 100,000, each member of the fire or police department is entitled to receive a salary of at least $195 a month.\n(c) In a municipality with a population of 100,001 to 175,000, each member of the fire or police department is entitled to receive a salary of at least $210 a month.\n(d) In a municipality with a population of more than 175,000, each member of the fire or police department is entitled to receive a salary of at least $220 a month.\nActs 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 149, Sec. 1, eff.
