Local Government Code § 142.101","heading":"APPLICABILITY.","body":"(a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), this subchapter applies only to a municipality:\n(1) with a population of 50,000 or more; or\n(2) that has adopted Chapter 143.\n(b) This subchapter does not apply to a municipality that:\n(1) has adopted Chapter 174;\n(2) is covered by Subchapter H, I, or J, Chapter 143; or\n(3) has a population of one million or more and has not adopted Chapter 143.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 262 (H.B. 2892), Sec. 2, eff.
