Local Government Code § 161.153","heading":"HEARINGS AND SETTLEMENT.","body":"(a) The commission may:\n(1) hold a hearing on a sworn complaint and render a decision on a complaint or report of a violation as provided by this chapter; and\n(2) agree to the settlement of issues.\n(b) The commission may not:\n(1) consider a complaint or vote to investigate a matter outside the commission's jurisdiction; or\n(2) investigate any matter except in response to a sworn complaint.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 799 (S.B. 1368), Sec. 1, eff.
