Local Government Code § 174.157","heading":"EVIDENCE; OATH; SUBPOENA.","body":"(a) The rules of evidence applicable to judicial proceedings are not binding in an arbitration hearing.\n(b) An arbitration board may:\n(1) receive in evidence any documentary evidence or other information the board considers relevant;\n(2) administer oaths; and\n(3) issue subpoenas to require:\n(A) the attendance and testimony of witnesses; and\n(B) the production of books, records, and other evidence relevant to an issue presented to the board for determination.\nAdded by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 269, Sec. 4, eff.
