Local Government Code § 211.0011 (2)","heading":"DEFINITION.","body":"Text of section as added by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 909 (H.B. 24), Sec. 1\nFor text of section as added by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 778 (S.B. 840), Sec. 1, see other Sec. 211.0011.\nIn this subchapter, \"proposed comprehensive zoning change\" means a municipal proposal to:\n(1) change an existing zoning regulation that:\n(A) will have the effect of allowing more residential development than the previous regulation; and\n(B) will apply uniformly to each parcel in one or more zoning districts;\n(2) adopt a new zoning code or zoning map that will apply to the entire municipality; or\n(3) adopt a zoning overlay district that:\n(A) will have the effect of allowing more residential development than allowed without the overlay; and\n(B) will include an area along a major roadway, highway, or transit corridor.\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 909 (H.B. 24), Sec. 1, eff.
