Local Government Code § 211.054","heading":"NO EFFECT ON OTHER ZONING AUTHORITY.","body":"This subchapter does not prohibit a municipality from imposing a limit on the number of people who may occupy a dwelling unit based on health and safety standards contained in:\n(1) a building code as adopted under Subchapter G, Chapter 214;\n(2) a fire code;\n(3) standards adopted by the Department of State Health Services; or\n(4) local, state, or federal affordable housing program guidelines.\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 841 (S.B. 1567), Sec. 1, eff.
