Local Government Code § 231.033","heading":"ZONING REGULATIONS GENERALLY.","body":"The commissioners court of Val Verde County may regulate in areas subject to this subchapter:\n(1) the height, number of stories, and size of buildings and other structures;\n(2) the percentage of a lot that may be occupied;\n(3) the size of yards, courts, and other open spaces;\n(4) population density;\n(5) the location and use of buildings, other structures, and land for business, industrial, residential, or other purposes; and\n(6) the placement of water and sewage facilities, parks, and other public requirements.\nActs 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 149, Sec. 1, eff.
