Local Government Code § 232.102","heading":"MAJOR THOROUGHFARE PLAN.","body":"By an order adopted and entered in the minutes of the commissioners court and after a notice is published in a newspaper of general circulation in the county, the commissioners court may:\n(1) require a right-of-way on a street or road that functions as a major thoroughfare of a width of not more than 120 feet; or\n(2) require a right-of-way on a street or road that functions as a major thoroughfare of a width of more than 120 feet, if such requirement is consistent with a transportation plan adopted by the metropolitan planning organization of the region.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 736, Sec. 1, eff.
