Local Government Code § 241.004","heading":"AIRPORT USED IN INTEREST OF PUBLIC.","body":"For the purposes of this chapter, an airport is used in the interest of the public if:\n(1) the owner of the airport, by contract, license, or otherwise, permits the airport to be used by the public to an extent that the airport fulfills an essential community purpose; or\n(2) the airport is used by the state or an agency of the state or by the United States for national defense purposes or for any federal program relating to flight.\nActs 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 149, Sec. 1, eff.
