Local Government Code § 281.056","heading":"ADDITION OF MUNICIPALITIES.","body":"(a) To add a municipality to the authority, a petition signed by a majority of the members of the governing body of the municipality must be filed with the board.\n(b) If the board determines that the addition of the municipality to the authority is desirable or necessary, the board shall enter an order adding the municipality to the authority and shall file a copy of the order in the county deed records.\nActs 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 149, Sec. 1, eff.
