Local Government Code § 321.043","heading":"CONTRACTS.","body":"(a) The board may without advertisement enter into a contract, including a lease or other agreement, with any person as the board considers necessary or convenient to carry out the purposes and powers granted by this chapter, including a contract connected with, incident to, or affecting the acquisition, financing, construction, equipment, maintenance, or operation of a facility located or to be located in or pertaining to a park under its control.\n(b) To be effective, a contract must be:\n(1) approved by resolution of the board;\n(2) executed by the chairman or vice-chairman; and\n(3) attested by the secretary or treasurer.\nActs 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 149, Sec. 1, eff.
