Local Government Code § 323.013","heading":"DISCONTINUATION OF LIBRARY.","body":"A county library may be discontinued on petition of a majority of the voters in that part of the county that maintains the library. The commissioners court shall, on termination of existing contracts, call in and inventory all books and other movable property of the discontinued library and shall store the property under lock and seal in a suitable place in the county courthouse.\nActs 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 149, Sec. 1, eff.
