Local Government Code § 325.016","heading":"GENERAL MANAGER.","body":"(a) The board may employ a general manager to be the chief administrative officer of the district and may delegate to the general manager full authority to manage and operate the district's affairs subject only to orders of the board.\n(b) The general manager shall execute a bond in the amount determined by the board, payable to the authority and conditioned on the faithful performance of the general manager's duties. The authority shall pay for the bond.\n(c) The general manager is entitled to receive the compensation provided by the district's budget.\nAdded by Acts 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 437, Sec. 1, eff.
