Local Government Code § 326.043","heading":"ELECTION OF TRUSTEES; TERM OF OFFICE.","body":"(a) Trustees shall serve two-year terms.\n(b) The general election for trustees shall be held annually on an authorized uniform election date under Chapter 41, Election Code.\n(c) Except for the initial members of the board of trustees, a candidate for the office of trustee must file an application for a place on the ballot in accordance with Chapter 144, Election Code, and other applicable provisions of that code.\nAdded by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1204, Sec. 1, eff.
