Local Government Code § 326.049","heading":"MANAGEMENT OF DISTRICT.","body":"(a) The board has control over and shall manage the affairs of the district.\n(b) The board shall employ any person, firm, partnership, or corporation the board considers necessary for conducting the affairs of the district.\n(c) The board shall determine the term of office and compensation of any employee and consultant by contract or by resolution of the board.\n(d) The board may remove any employee.\nAdded by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1204, Sec. 1, eff.
