Local Government Code § 341.022","heading":"MARSHAL OF TYPE B GENERAL-LAW MUNICIPALITY.","body":"(a) The marshal of a Type B general-law municipality has the same power within the municipality that a constable has within a precinct and is entitled to the same fees as a constable.\n(b) The marshal shall perform duties, not inconsistent with state law, prescribed by the bylaws and ordinances of the municipality for fees determined by the governing body of the municipality.\n(c) The marshal is the tax assessor-collector of the municipality.\nActs 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 149, Sec. 1, eff.
