Local Government Code § 344.103","heading":"OFFICERS.","body":"(a) The board shall elect from among its members a president and vice president.\n(b) The board shall appoint a secretary. The secretary may be a director.\n(c) The person who performs the duties of auditor for the municipality shall serve as treasurer of the district.\n(d) Each officer of the board serves for a term of one year.\n(e) A vacancy in a board office shall be filled by the board for the unexpired term.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1295, Sec. 1, eff.
