Local Government Code § 351.121","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this subchapter:\n(1) \"Board\" means the board of directors of the district.\n(2) \"Cooperating county\" means a county that has contracted with one or more other counties for the joint operation of a jail facility under Subchapter B and that has agreed to the creation of the district.\n(3) \"Director\" means a member of the board.\n(4) \"District\" means a jail district.\n(5) \"Jail facility\" includes a juvenile detention facility.\n(6) \"Receiving county\" means a county in which a jail facility constructed, acquired, or improved by the district is located and to which the facility is to be conveyed.\nAdded by Acts 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 1, Sec. 74(a), eff.
