Local Government Code § 352.117","heading":"COUNTY AUTHORITY TO REQUIRE PERMIT.","body":"(a) A county may require the owner or the owners association of a gated community or multi-unit housing project to obtain a permit from the county fire marshal or other authority with fire-fighting jurisdiction in the county to ensure compliance with this subchapter.\n(b) A permit may be issued under this subchapter only if the requirements of this subchapter and standards adopted under this subchapter are met.\n(c) To pay for the cost of administering the permits, the county may collect a one-time fee not to exceed $50 from each person to whom a permit is issued under this section.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 111, Sec. 1, eff.
