Local Government Code § 363.054","heading":"ELECTION ORDER.","body":"(a) After a majority of the temporary directors of a proposed district have approved a budget plan and a crime control plan in accordance with Section 363.061, a majority of the temporary directors may order that a creation election be held.\n(b) An order calling an election under Subsection (a) must state:\n(1) the nature of the election, including the proposition that is to appear on the ballot;\n(2) the date of the election;\n(3) the hours during which the polls will be open;\n(4) the location of the polling places;\n(5) in summary form, the approved budget plan and crime control plan of the proposed district; and\n(6) the proposed rate of the sales and use tax for the district.\nAdded by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 23.03(a), eff.
