Local Government Code § 374.022","heading":"CREATION OF URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY.","body":"(a) An urban renewal agency created in a municipality is a public body corporate and politic.\n(b) An urban renewal agency may not transact business or exercise any powers under this chapter until the governing body of the municipality:\n(1) adopts a resolution as provided by Section 374.011; and\n(2) elects to exercise urban renewal project power through an urban renewal agency as provided by Section 374.021(a).\nActs 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 149, Sec. 1, eff.
