Local Government Code § 382.052","heading":"ELIGIBILITY.","body":"(a) To be eligible to serve as a director, a person must be at least 18 years old.\n(b) If the population of the district is more than 1,000, to be eligible to serve as a director, a person must be at least 18 years old, reside in the district, and be:\n(1) an owner of property in the district;\n(2) an owner of stock, whether beneficial or otherwise, of a corporate owner of property in the district;\n(3) an owner of a beneficial interest in a trust that owns property in the district; or\n(4) an agent, employee, or tenant of a person covered by Subdivision (1), (2), or (3).\nTransferred from Local Government Code, Subchapter C, Chapter 372 and amended by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 87 (S.B. 1969), Sec. 15.009, eff.
