Local Government Code § 391.016","heading":"JOINING COMMISSION AFTER WITHDRAWAL.","body":"A governmental unit that has withdrawn from a commission under Section 391.015 may join another commission that is adjacent to the unit if:\n(1) the transfer is approved by the governing bodies of:\n(A) the unit; and\n(B) the commission the unit wishes to join;\n(2) the governmental unit submits a written request for approval of the transfer to the governor that:\n(A) is in the form and manner prescribed by the office of the governor; and\n(B) demonstrates the transfer furthers the purpose of this chapter as described by Section 391.001; and\n(3) the governor approves the transfer.\nAdded by Acts 2019, 86th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1237 (H.B. 2736), Sec. 1, eff.
