Local Government Code § 501.307","heading":"SUITS OR RIGHTS NOT AFFECTED.","body":"(a) An amendment to a corporation's certificate of formation does not affect:\n(1) any existing cause of action in favor of or against the corporation;\n(2) any pending suit to which the corporation is a party; or\n(3) the existing rights of any person.\n(b) If a corporation's name is changed by amendment to the certificate of formation, a suit brought by or against the corporation under its former name does not abate for that reason.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 885 (H.B. 2278), Sec. 3.01, eff.
