Local Government Code § 501.351","heading":"REGISTERED OFFICE AND AGENT.","body":"(a) A corporation shall continuously maintain in this state a registered office and registered agent.\n(b) A corporation's registered office may, but is not required to be, the same as the corporation's principal office.\n(c) A corporation's registered agent may be:\n(1) an individual who is a resident of this state and whose business office is the same as the corporation's registered office; or\n(2) a domestic or foreign for-profit or nonprofit corporation that:\n(A) is authorized to transact business or to conduct affairs in this state; and\n(B) has a principal or business office that is the same as the corporation's registered office.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 885 (H.B. 2278), Sec. 3.01, eff.
