Local Government Code § 62.041","heading":"APPLICATION FOR AND APPOINTMENT OF RECEIVER.","body":"(a) Any creditor of a validly incorporated municipality that abolishes its corporate existence may apply to a district judge in the district in which the municipality is located to appoint a receiver for the municipality.\n(b) After an application is filed and proper notice of the application is posted, the judge hearing the application in term time or vacation may appoint a suitable person as receiver.\nActs 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 149, Sec. 1, eff.
