Natural Resources Code § 134.007","heading":"CONFLICT OF INTEREST; OFFENSE.","body":"(a) An employee of the commission commits an offense if the employee knowingly:\n(1) performs a function or duty under this chapter; and\n(2) has a direct or indirect financial interest in an underground or surface coal mining operation.\n(b) An offense under this section is punishable by:\n(1) a fine of not more than $2,500;\n(2) imprisonment for not more than one year; or\n(3) both the fine and the imprisonment.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 76, Sec. 12.02(a), eff.
