Natural Resources Code § 134.065","heading":"PERMIT APPROVAL OR DENIAL.","body":"(a) On the basis of a complete application for a surface coal mining and reclamation permit or a revision or renewal of a permit, as required by this chapter, the commission shall grant, require modification of, or deny a permit application.\n(b) The commission shall notify the applicant of its decision in writing within a reasonable time as set by the commission.\n(c) An applicant for a permit or a permit revision has the burden of establishing that the application complies with this chapter.\n(d) Not later than the 10th day after the date the commission grants a permit, the commission shall notify the county judge in the county in which the land to be affected is located that a permit has been issued and shall describe the location of the land.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 76, Sec. 12.02(a), eff.
