Natural Resources Code § 62.011","heading":"PURPOSE AND AUTHORITY.","body":"A county located or bordering on the Gulf of Mexico with a beach suitable for park purposes may create a board in the manner provided in this subchapter for the purpose of improving, equipping, maintaining, financing, and operating a public park or parks, or any facilities owned by the county, or to be acquired by the county, or to be managed by the county under the terms of a written contract. The board, to be designated Beach Park Board of Trustees, has the powers and duties specified in this chapter.\nActs 1977, 65th Leg., p. 2493, ch. 871, art. I, Sec. 1, eff.
