Natural Resources Code § 87.241","heading":"PENALTY.","body":"(a) A person who violates this chapter is liable to a penalty of not more than $1,000 for each offense.\n(b) Each day a violation occurs constitutes a separate offense.\n(c) The penalty may be recovered by the State of Texas, with costs of suit, in a civil action instituted by the attorney general in Travis County, in the county in which the violation occurred, or in the county of residence of the defendant.\nActs 1977, 65th Leg., p. 2546, ch. 871, art.
