Occupations Code § 1001.065","heading":"EMPLOYEES OF INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION.","body":"(a) In this section, \"institution of higher education\" and \"private or independent institution of higher education\" have the meanings assigned by Section 61.003, Education Code.\n(b) An employee of an institution of higher education or a private or independent institution of higher education who is performing research or instructional work within the scope of the person's employment by the institution is exempt from the licensing requirements of this chapter.\nActs 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1276, Sec. 14A.002(a), eff.
