Occupations Code § 1201.252","heading":"POWER OF LOCAL GOVERNMENTAL UNIT TO ADOPT DIFFERENT STANDARD.","body":"(a) A local governmental unit of this state may not adopt a standard for the construction or installation of manufactured housing in the local governmental unit that is different from a standard adopted by the board unless, after a hearing, the board expressly approves the proposed standard.\n(b) To adopt a different standard under this section, the local governmental unit must demonstrate that public health and safety require the different standard.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1421, Sec. 2, eff.
