The terms of three appointed members expire on February 1 of each odd-numbered year.\n(b) If a vacancy occurs during an appointed member's term, the presiding officer of the commission, with the commission's approval, shall fill the vacancy for the remainder of the unexpired term with a person who represents the same interests as the predecessor.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1421, Sec. 3, eff.
