Occupations Code § 1304.160","heading":"LIMITATIONS ON PROVIDER NAME.","body":"(a) A provider may not use a name that:\n(1) includes \"insurance,\" \"casualty,\" \"surety,\" or \"mutual\" or any other word descriptive of the insurance, casualty, or surety business; or\n(2) is deceptively similar to the name or description of an insurance or surety corporation or to the name of any other provider.\n(b) A provider may include in its name \"guaranty\" or a similar word.\n(c) This section does not apply to a provider that, before September 1, 1999, included a word prohibited under this section in its name. A provider described by this subsection must include in each service contract a statement substantially similar to the following: \"This agreement is not an insurance contract.\"\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1421, Sec. 3, eff.
