Occupations Code § 1305.1605","heading":"JOURNEYMAN LINEMAN.","body":"(a) An applicant for a license as a journeyman lineman must:\n(1) have at least:\n(A) 7,000 hours of training in an apprenticeship program approved by the United States Department of Labor; or\n(B) 3-1/2 years of experience as a journeyman lineman for an electric utility, electric cooperative, municipally owned utility, or electrical contractor in this state; and\n(2) pass a journeyman lineman examination administered under this chapter.\n(b) A journeyman lineman license is not required for:\n(1) a person performing work exempt under Section 1305.003(a)(5); or\n(2) a person who:\n(A) is performing journeyman lineman work;\n(B) possesses a journeyman electrician license; and\n(C) is employed by an institution of higher education, as defined by Section 61.003, Education Code.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 882 (H.B. 796), Sec. 3, eff.
