Occupations Code § 1603.2104","heading":"WAIVER OF CERTAIN LICENSE REQUIREMENTS.","body":"(a) The department may waive any requirement for a license issued under this subchapter for an applicant holding a license from another jurisdiction that has license requirements substantially equivalent to those of this state.\n(b) The department shall issue a license to an applicant under Subsection (a) if the applicant:\n(1) submits an application on a form prescribed by the department;\n(2) pays the application fee; and\n(3) provides proof that the applicant holds a current license to engage in the same or a similar activity issued by another jurisdiction that has license requirements substantially equivalent to those of this state.\n(c) The department may not require a personal interview as part of the application process under this section.\n(d) A license issued under this section may be renewed as provided by Subchapter G.\nAdded by Acts 2021, 87th Leg., R.S., Ch. 663 (H.B. 1560), Sec. 3.20, eff.
