Occupations Code § 1701.3071","heading":"ISSUANCE OF TELECOMMUNICATOR LICENSE.","body":"(a) The commission shall issue a telecommunicator license to a person who:\n(1) submits an application;\n(2) completes the required training;\n(3) passes the required examination; and\n(4) meets any other requirement of this chapter and the rules prescribed by the commission to qualify as a telecommunicator.\n(a-1) The training required by Subsection (a)(2) must include telecommunicator cardiopulmonary resuscitation training that:\n(1) uses the most current nationally recognized emergency cardiovascular care guidelines;\n(2) incorporates recognition protocols for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest; and\n(3) provides information on best practices for relaying compression-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation instructions to callers.\n(b) The commission may issue a temporary or permanent license to a person to act as a telecommunicator.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 968 (H.B. 1951), Sec. 7, eff.
