Occupations Code § 1701.309","heading":"AGE REQUIREMENT.","body":"The commission by rule shall set 21 years of age as the minimum age for obtaining a license as an officer. The rules must provide that a person at least 18 years of age may be issued a license as an officer if the person has:\n(1) completed and received credit for at least 60 hours of study at an accredited college or university or received an associate degree from an accredited college or university; or\n(2) received an honorable discharge from the United States armed forces after at least two years of service.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
