Occupations Code § 1701.701","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this subchapter:\n(1) \"Anaphylaxis\" means a sudden, severe, and potentially life-threatening allergic reaction that occurs when a person is exposed to an allergen.\n(2) \"Epinephrine auto-injector\" means a disposable medical drug delivery device that contains a premeasured single dose of epinephrine intended for use to treat anaphylaxis.\n(2-a) \"Epinephrine delivery system\" means a medical delivery device approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration that delivers a dose of epinephrine intended for use to treat anaphylaxis, including:\n(A) an epinephrine auto-injector; and\n(B) an epinephrine nasal spray.\n(3) \"Physician\" means a person who holds a license to practice medicine in this state.\nAdded by Acts 2019, 86th Leg., R.S., Ch. 653 (S.B. 1827), Sec. 1, eff.
