Occupations Code § 1702.061","heading":"GENERAL POWERS AND DUTIES.","body":"(a) The commission shall adopt rules and general policies to guide the department in the administration of this chapter.\n(b) The rules and policies adopted by the commission under Subsection (a) must be consistent with this chapter and other commission rules adopted under this chapter and with any other applicable law, state rule, or federal regulation.\n(c) The commission has the powers and duties to:\n(1) determine the qualifications of company license holders, individual license holders, and commissioned security officers;\n(2) investigate alleged violations of this chapter and of commission rules;\n(3) adopt rules necessary to implement this chapter; and\n(4) establish and enforce standards governing the safety and conduct of each person regulated under this chapter.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
