Occupations Code § 1702.1056","heading":"LOCKSMITH COMPANY.","body":"(a) A person acts as a locksmith company for the purposes of this chapter if the person:\n(1) sells, installs, services, or maintains, or offers to sell, install, service, or maintain, mechanical security devices, including deadbolts and locks;\n(2) advertises services offered by the company using the term \"locksmith\"; or\n(3) includes the term \"locksmith\" in the company's name.\n(b) This section does not apply to a hotel, as that term is defined by Section 156.001, Tax Code.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 936, Sec. 5, eff.
