Occupations Code § 1702.181","heading":"NOTICE AND REGISTRATION REQUIRED; REGISTRY.","body":"(a) The security department of a private business or a political subdivision may not employ a commissioned security officer unless the security department provides notice to the department in the form prescribed by the commission of:\n(1) the security department's intent to employ a commissioned security officer and register with the department under this section;\n(2) the name, title, and contact information of the person serving in the security department as the contact for the department; and\n(3) any change in the information provided in Subdivision (1) or (2).\n(b) The department shall maintain a registry of security departments that provide notice under Subsection (a) and the name, title, and contact information of the person serving as contact for each security department.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
