Occupations Code § 1702.2227","heading":"LOCKSMITH.","body":"(a) An individual acts as a locksmith for the purposes of this chapter if the person:\n(1) sells, installs, services, or maintains mechanical security devices, including deadbolts and locks; or\n(2) advertises or offers services to the public or represents to the public that the person is a locksmith.\n(b) This section does not apply to a hotel, as that term is defined by Section 156.001, Tax Code.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 936, Sec. 9, eff.
