Occupations Code § 1702.309","heading":"SECURITY OFFICER COMMISSION RENEWAL.","body":"(a) The commission by rule shall develop a continuing education course required for renewal of a security officer commission. Only a department-approved instructor may administer the continuing education course. The course must include at least six hours of instruction determined by the department.\n(b) A commissioned security officer must demonstrate the proficiency required under Section 1702.1685 within the 90-day period before the date the commission is renewed.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1420, Sec. 14.652(a), eff.
