Occupations Code § 201.054","heading":"TERMS; VACANCY.","body":"(a) Members of the board are appointed for staggered six-year terms. The terms of one-third of the members expire on February 1 of each odd-numbered year.\n(b) A person may not be appointed to serve more than two terms.\n(c) If a vacancy occurs because of the death or resignation of a board member, the governor shall appoint a replacement to fill the unexpired term.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
