Occupations Code § 203.256","heading":"TRAINING IN NEWBORN SCREENING AND BASIC LIFE SUPPORT CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION.","body":"A person who practices midwifery in this state must provide the department with satisfactory evidence that the person:\n(1) is trained to perform the newborn screening tests under Section 203.354 or has made arrangements for the performance of those tests; and\n(2) holds:\n(A) a current certificate issued by the American Heart Association in basic life support cardiopulmonary resuscitation; or\n(B) another form of certification acceptable to the department that demonstrates proficiency in basic life support cardiopulmonary resuscitation for adults and children.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
