Occupations Code § 204.157","heading":"INACTIVE STATUS.","body":"(a) A person licensed under this chapter may place the person's license on inactive status by applying to the physician assistant board. A person whose license is on inactive status is excused from paying renewal fees for the license.\n(b) The holder of a license on inactive status may not practice as a physician assistant. A violation of this subsection is considered to be practicing without a license.\n(c) A person whose license is on inactive status under this section may return the person's license to active status by:\n(1) applying to the physician assistant board;\n(2) satisfying the requirements of Section 204.156; and\n(3) paying the fee established by the physician assistant board for returning a license to active status.\n(d) The physician assistant board by rule shall establish a limit on the length of time a physician assistant's license may remain on inactive status.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
