Occupations Code § 205.402","heading":"INJUNCTIVE RELIEF; CIVIL PENALTY.","body":"(a) The acupuncture board, the attorney general, or a district or county attorney may bring a civil action to compel compliance with this chapter or to enforce a rule adopted under this chapter.\n(b) In addition to injunctive relief or any other remedy provided by law, a person who violates this chapter or a rule adopted under this chapter is liable to the state for a civil penalty in an amount not to exceed $2,000 for each violation.\n(c) Each day a violation continues or occurs is a separate violation for purposes of imposing a civil penalty.\n(d) The attorney general, at the request of the acupuncture board or on the attorney general's own initiative, may bring a civil action to collect a civil penalty.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
