Occupations Code § 2051.002","heading":"PARTICIPATION IN INTERCOLLEGIATE SPORTS CONTESTS.","body":"An athlete is not eligible to participate in intercollegiate sports contests if the athlete:\n(1) declares that the athlete is eligible for recruitment by a professional sports team; or\n(2) has concluded, in the athlete's final year of eligibility, the athlete's final intercollegiate sports contest, as determined by the governing body of the national association for the promotion and regulation of intercollegiate athletics of which the athlete's institution of higher education is a member.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
